The mountain of Praděd
Praděd is the highest peak (1492 meters ASL) of the Hrubý Jeseník mountain range. It would not be too remarkable due to its flat summit, its unforgettable appearance is created by the 145 m high tower that replaced the former stone outlook-tower. The summit of Praděd is above the upper limit of forest which extends here in the altitude of about 1300 m. 20 mountains reach this altitude in the Hrubý Jeseník (e.g. Keprník 1424 m, Šerák 1351 m, Petrovy kameny 1438 m, Vysoká hole 1464 m and Jelení hřbet 1367 m).

The village Karlov
The village Karlov is 1 km far-off Malá Morávka, first written records date from 1693. Iron ore, silver and tin were mined there. At present it is one of the most renowned tourist resorts with a number of downhill courses, some of them are equipped with snow cannons. Beautiful stylish buildings and taverns are found in the village.

Karlova Studánka health resort
First attempts to use local springs for curative purposes date from the 17th century, however, the spa was created 100 years later, in 1785, when the whole Bruntál lordship belonged to the German knights order after its confiscation after the battle of Bílá Hora in 1620. In 1785, a wooden bath house with 15 cabins (each with two wooden bathtubs for curative baths) was built near the Dolní pramen (Lower Spring). Healthy powers of the springs attracted an increasing number of visitors. The treatment procedure was as follows: the water for baths was heated by griddle-hot slag brought on carriages from Hubertovské hutě to the space of the present spa. A settlement with blast furnaces for iron melting played an important role in the history of Karlova Studánka. It was founded by the grand master of the German knights order Ludvík in 1703. A nearby village Ludvíkov was named in his honour. After the spa foundation in 1785 and the first wooden houses built in the late 18th century, a great interest and influx of patients called forth the brick bath houses erection.

Waterfalls of Bílá Opava
A lovely walk that may start in Karlova Studánka (3 km long) or in Bělá pod Pradědem (2,5 km long). It is not recommended in winter since the path is led in higher altitudes and may be frostbitten.

Pumping power station Dlouhé stráně
The pumping water power station is a very interesting work thanks to its technical parameters and location in the highest parts of the Hrubý Jeseník mountains with the view of Praděd. The power station is in operation since 1996. It utilizes the electric energy excess, especially at night and between the peaks, to pump the water from the lower to the upper reservoir. During the time of increased consumption, electric energy is produced in the turbine mode. The significance of the pumping water power station Dlouhé Stráně consists especially in the sphere of the output and frequency regulation. It is the greatest water plant in our republic and the machinery output is the greatest in Europe.

Chateau Bruntál
A Renaissance chateau with Baroque elements. The strong wall of the southern wing is an original Gothic rampart. However, the origin of the castle, on the foundations of which the chateau was built, is very indistinct. The castle (fortress) complex on the rocky headland in the mountain valley of the Nízký Jeseník was founded in 1348. Chateau Velké Losiny
A composite chateau complex with a park is situated in a wide valley not far from the municipality. The ground around Losiny was owned by the royal chamber for a long time, but it was continuously pawned. The bailees built a fort there which is still mentioned in 1577. Its remainders are a strong rounded wall and a Gothic portal of the gate in the eastern wing. Fortunately, the chateau was not markedly touched by later adaptations and the atmosphere of mass witch trials from 1678 to 1692 vanished long ago. The inquisitional tribunal led by František Boblig of Edelstadt burnt 56 people at the stake in Losiny. It seems that there were fewer witches in nearby Šumperk since "only" 30 stakes burnt there.

Hand Paper Mill Velké Losiny
One of the oldest, still in operation, European manufactures producing paper was founded in Velké Losiny in the 16th century. The specialized Museum of Paper, the only one in the Czech Republic, was established there in 1987. After reconstruction, the sight-seeing circle passes through the most attractive parts of the object including the fundamental workplaces of the hand paper production.
